Dārta SVĒTIŅA studied the cello with Māris Villerušs and Diana Ozoliņa at the Jāzeps Vītols Latvian Academy of Music, where she also earned a master’s in chamber music, class of Aldis Liepiņš and Gunārs Larsens. Additionally, she participated in an exchange programme in Dresden, where she studied with Ramón Jaffé. She has participated in masterclasses with Jānis Laurs, Denis Severin, Nicholas Jones, Miroslav Zicha, Rudolf Leopold, Jeroen Reuling, Maria Kliegel, and others.

 

Svētiņa has been a member of the chamber orchestra Sinfonietta Rīga since 2015, and she has performed with the chamber orchestra Sinfonia Concertante, the Baltic Youth Philharmonic, and the LNSO. She has participated in local and international competitions and festivals with the piano trio Vīzija.
