LNSO ANNOUNCES AN AUDITION FOR ORCHESTRA CONCERTMASTER POSITION

(Latvian National Symphony Orchestra), announces
an audition for the full-time employment
as concertmaster for one year with possibility for permanent position
The audition will be held at Riga Congress Hall, Riga, Krišjāņa Valdemāra Street 5:
1st round and 1st half of the 2nd round on 20 April 2026, at 12:00 (by draw)
2nd half of the 2nd round on 21 April 2026 at 13:15.
On the 2nd part of the 2nd round candidate performs the solo parts, playing them together with the LNSO.
Requirements for candidates:
· Excellent instrument proficiency, ability to perform solos at the highest level;
· Profound knowledge of the orchestra's repertoire;
· Strong leadership skills;
· Excellent verbal and non-verbal communication skills;
· Experience as an orchestra concertmaster will be considered an advantage.
In order to take part in the audition, each candidate must submit:
· curriculum vitae (CV),
· motivation letter,
· copies of documents supporting educational qualifications,
· confirmation of consent to the processing of personal data.
The deadline for submitting applications is 8 April 2026. Applications must be submitted by email to the email address of the LNSO: personals@lnso.lv, with the reference “For the audition”.
Applications received after 23:59 on 8 April 2026 will not be considered.
