LNSO KLAVIETRIO

Formed in 2014, the LNSO PIANO TRIO brings together violinist Indulis Cintiņš, cellist Dace Zālīte-Zilberte, and pianist Mārtiņš Zilberts, who offer their audiences diverse concert programmes, focusing on the grand opuses of the piano trio genre, works by Latvian composers, and pieces rarely heard in Latvian concert halls. Each season, the ensemble participates in the LNSO chamber music concerts.

Over its almost ten years of existence, the LNSO Piano Trio has collaborated in its concert programmes with soprano Inga Kalna, clarinetist Mārtiņš Circenis, violinist Sandis Šteinbergs, violist Pēteris Trasuns, and bassist Oskars Bokanovs. They have also taken the stage with the Ventspils Chamber Orchestra under the baton of Aigars Meri, performing Ludwig van Beethoven's Triple Concerto for Violin, Cello, and Piano. In 2018, the Trio premiered Platon Buravicky' opus Jauna rindkopa (New Paragraph), while in 2023, they debuted Roman Falkenstein' Piano Trio in G Minor.

The ensemble has performed in prestigious Latvian concert halls, including Latgale Embassy GORS, and participated in the alternative chamber music festival Sansusī, collaborating with the concert agency Latvijas Koncerti. In 2020, the LNSO Piano Trio took part in a charity concert where all ticket proceeds were donated to the project Dots devējam atdodas.

Musicologist Orests Silabriedis has lauded the ensemble: "The LNSO Piano Trio is one of the most outstanding chamber ensembles in Latvia. Violinist Indulis Cintiņš, cellist Dace Zālīte-Zilberte, and pianist Mārtiņš Zilberts have been playing together for almost a decade, and as they prepare a new concert programme each season, the finely tuned gears of their intricate interplay refine with each performance, gleaming in ever more perfect brilliance."

Indulis Cintiņš is a member of the first violin section of the LNSO since 2006 and has performed in Classical Concert Chamber Orchestra events across Europe since 2012. Founder and leader of string quartet Fantastic Four, whose repertoire ranges from jazz to the classics. Cintiņš regularly plays in other chamber music projects and has participated in theatre productions in the Latvian National Theatre as well as Valmiera Theatre. Violin teacher at Jūrmala Music School since 2010.

Dace Zālīte-Zilberte is the assistant principal cello of the LNSO since 2022 (having joined the orchestra in 2011), member of the LNSO cello Dream Team, and an active chamber musician. Winner of international competitions, nominee for Latvia’s Grand Music Award 2012. As a soloist, she has performed with the Latvian National Symphony Orchestra, Liepāja Symphony Orchestra, Jāzeps Vītols Latvian Academy of Music Symphony Orchestra, Vidzeme Chamber Orchestra, and Ventspils Chamber Orchestra. In 2017, Dace and Mārtiņš Zilberts released the album Brahms, Franck & Villerušs under Musica Baltica, receiving great critical acclaim.

Mārtiņš Zilberts is the chief accompanist for soloists at the Latvian National Opera since 2008. A regular guest with the Latvian National Symphony Orchestra, he is one of the most actively performing Latvian pianists, covering a broad spectrum of genres and styles in his creative pursuits. Mārtiņš Zilberts participates in numerous chamber music projects and collaborates with outstanding instrumentalists and world-class opera singers. He received the Latvian National Opera Foundation’s annual award for outstanding performance in 2018 and was nominated for the Grand Music Award in 2019.
