This autumn the Latvian National Symphony Orchestra marks a significant anniversary. For a full 90 years the Orchestra has refreshed the hearts of listeners with beautiful compositions and melodies, allowing us to transcend time and daily routine by touching the deepest strings of every soul.

I am truly proud and honored to be the patroness of the Latvian National Symphony Orchestra. I am fully committed to providing my support in strengthening the Orchestra as one of the pillars of classical music in our country. I do this with great pleasure and a sense of responsibility.

​

On the occasion of the 90th anniversary of the Orchestra, I wish the musicians and artistic directors to maintain their high degree of professionalism and creativity. They set a superb example to both local and foreign musicians. May the love of their audiences, their international recognition and the inexhaustible joy they so clearly have in their work remain with the Orchestra for all time.

​

I would also like to express my gratitude to the Orchestra for the attention they pay to the youngest audiences. The help they give to children and young people to take their first steps into the truly beautiful world of classical music is invaluable. I hope that we can find more opportunities for music school students from different parts of Latvia to attend the Orchestra’s concerts. Listening to high quality performances of the great masters develops young musicians and expands the worldview of our younger generations.
