Fuads Ibrahimovs

Fuad Ibrahimov is the main guest conductor of the Azerbaijan State Symphony Orchestra since 2014, main conductor for the Neue Philharmonie München and the Baku Chamber Orchestra.

In March of 2017 Fuad Ibrahimov was awarded the Order of Merit of the President of Azerbaijan for his commitment to culture. In 2018 his career took a new turn – he reached second place in the prestigious Evgeny Svetlanov International Conducting Competition in Paris and was almost immediately recruited by the Monte-Carlo Philharmonic Orchestra and offered to perform in the La Folle Journée de Nantes with Sinfonia Varsovia. In 2019 Ibrahimov conducted the Orchestre d’Auvergne at the International Mstislav Rostropovich Festival.

During his career Fuad Ibrahimov has participated in the Pacific Music Festival in Japan (invited by Fabio Luisi), made a debut with the Gürzenich Orchestra at the Cologne Opera and afterward worked with this collective in the field of symphonic music, conducted the London Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, MDR Leipzig Radio Symphony Orchestra, Das Kritische Orchester of Berlin (composed from musicians of orchestras like the Berliner Philharmoniker, the Staatskapelle Berlin, the Staatskapelle Dresden), the Vienna Chamber Orchestra and others.

Fuad Ibrahimov learned to play the viola at the Baku Music Academy and learned conducting at the Cologne Academy of Music; during his studies he led the Cologne student symphonic orchestra Sinfonietta.
