Harpsichord player Ieva SALIETE is a freelance musician – she lives in Latvia, collaborates with the orchestra Sinfonietta Rīga in Baroque music projects, participates in solo and chamber music projects in Germany and Switzerland, plays the harpsichord in early music orchestra Les Passions de l’Ame in Bern. Ieva particularly enjoys works by Johann Gottfried Müthel who used to live in Riga. She performs his works together with the Kesselberg Ensemble in Latvia, Germany, and Switzerland. Former lecturer at the Jāzeps Vītols Latvian Academy of Music. Former member of the Freiburger Barockorchester, Ensemble 415, Kammerorchester Basel, and others. Winner of Latvia’s Grand Music Award 2017 For Outstanding Work in an Ensemble. Ieva has recorded at the Deutsche Harmonia Mundi and Sony record studio; two of her recordings have received the Diapason d’Or award.
