Laura Grecka

Laura GRECKA is a soloist at the Latvian National Opera since 2010. She made her debut in the role of Fenena in Verdi’s opera Nabucco, later singing the roles of Suzuki (Madama Butterfly), Smeraldina (The Love for Three Oranges), Cherubino (The Marriage of Figaro), Olga (Eugene Onegin), Siebel (Faust), Mercédès (Carmen), Poet (The Immured), among others.

Laura Grecka has participated in performances of large-scale vocal instrumental works; she sings Baroque and contemporary music. The artist has performed with the Vidzeme Chamber Orchestra, orchestra Sinfonietta Rīga, Latvian National Symphony Orchestra, and others; she has participated in the Kremerata Baltica festival, in the International Sacred Music Festival, and others. She has performed in concert in Lithuania, Estonia, Norway, Belgium, Germany, and the Netherlands, where Laura performed Mahler’s song cycle Songs of a Wayfarer at Amsterdam Concertgebouw in 2012.

Laura earned her master’s degree in vocal music from the Jāzeps Vītols Latvian Academy of Music in the class of Lilija Greidāne and at Conservatorium Maastricht, studying with Axel Everaert.
