Indulis Cintiņš is a member of the first violin section of the LNSO since 2006; violin teacher at the Jūrmala Music School since 2010. Since 2012, he performs in Classical Concert Chamber Orchestra concerts across Europe. Member of the Undertango quartet since 2006. Founder and leader of string quartet Fantastic Four, whose repertoire ranges from jazz to the classics. Cintiņš has participated in theatre productions in the Latvian National Theatre as well as Valmiera Theatre.

Cintiņš was born in a family of musicians. He went to Emīls Dārziņš Music School, where he studied with Romāns Šnē and Andris Baumanis, who was also his lecturer at the Jāzeps Vītols Latvian Academy of Music (JVLMA). In 2009, he earned his master’s degree from the JVLMA, class of Valdis Zariņš and Eva Bindere. Additionally, he honed his skills at the Hamburg University of Music, as well as Stuttgart Bach Academy. Former member of Gustav Mahler Youth Chamber Orchestra (2004, 2005), led by Claudio Abbado, and the Schleswig-Holstein Festival Orchestra. Winner of international competitions.

Dace Zālīte-Zilberte is an LNSO cellist and member of the LNSO cello ensemble Dream Team. Winner of international competitions. Winner of the 2012 JVLMA and Swedbank annual award for young musicians (2011). Nominated for Latvia’s Grand Music Award for Debut of the Year (2012). Performed the solo with the JVLMA orchestra, the Liepāja Symphony Orchestra, and the Latvian National Symphony Orchestra.

Dace Zālīte and Mārtiņš Zilberts released a CD in 2017 dedicated to the memory of outstanding cellist, Dace’s teacher Māris Villerušs. The recording includes sonatas by Johannes Brahms and César Franck.

Dace learned to play the cello at Emīls Dārziņš Music School with Arvīds Tareila and at the JVLMA with Māris Villerušs, who guided her studies of the most important cello works over the course of eight years, with vital support of accompanist Ilze Dzērve.

 

Mārtiņš Zilberts is the chief accompanist for soloists at the Latvian National Opera since 2008 and docent at the Jāzeps Vītols Latvian Academy of Music Department of Chamber Ensemble and Piano Accompaniment since 2009. One of the most active piano accompanists performing across Latvia, participant of numerous chamber music projects. Zilberts was awarded the Latvian National Opera Foundation annual award for outstanding performance in 2018. Nominated for Latvia’s Grand Music Award for Outstanding Work in an Ensemble (2019).

Mārtiņš has performed all over Europe, including Iceland, as well as in Japan, Russia, and Canada. He participates in Latvian theatre productions and performs with the Latvian Radio Choir and State Choir Latvija. Mārtiņš also collaborates with renowned chamber musicians in chamber music concerts in the Latvian National Opera Dress Circle Hall. Co-founder and member of instrumental bands Undertango and Brokastis četratā (Breakfast for Four).

In 2015, Zilberts joined forces with Indulis Cintiņš and Dace Zālīte and established the LNSO Piano Trio, which has performed numerous notable concert programmes.

He has performed with vocalists Liene Kinča, Kristīne Opolais, Egils Siliņš, Inga Kalna, and Aleksandrs Antoņenko.

Mārtiņš Zilberts went to Emīls Dārziņš Music School, where he studied with Ilze Juriksone, and he graduated from the JVLMA in 2000, class of Arnis Zandmanis. He earned a master’s degree in Chamber Ensemble in 2002, graduating from the class of Gunta Sproģe (now Gunta Rasa). Zilberts is a lecturer at the JVLMA since 1999, docent at the Department of Chamber Ensemble and Piano Accompaniment since 2009. As accompanist, he has participated in workshops taught by Mariss Jansons.
